A lot of the time customers just kept complaining that the hardisk not detected during boot time. It happens. Normally it is down to compatibility problem. Certain motherboard southbridge doesn't pair well with certain hardisk. Can be down to cables problem as well. But normally we know of this problem as soon as we plug it in, not after a week or two only to find out such incompatibility. Could be due to faulty circuit board on the hardisk, I have swapped hardisk circuit board before.
The worst of the kind that I have seen - customer bought a hardisk from us. Plug it into his PC. But he started having intermitent problem with his games. Games crashes unexpectedly. Blamed our hardisk for "infecting his graphics card with virus". Forced us to replace him a new graphics card. He brought his PC into the store. I troubleshoot his graphics card problem, not even related to the hardisk that I sold him. Found out that the reason he had trouble after installing a new hardisk is because his PSU cannot supply enough power. When he starts his game, his graphics card draw too much juice from the PSU and the PSU just couldn't cope, so his game crash. Told him of his problem but he insisted that we must replace the PSU because he bought the whole PC from us. So, we replaced his PSU for free.... Tell me how to make a living with a profit margin of a tenner and still have to cope with difficult customer like him.

haha. Mine wasnt that problem.
I was told by a friend of mine saying that my normal power supply isnt that strong to support so many things. that's why if lucky it can be detected sometimes only.

They ask back the question, cause they dont know what u talk about? (noob)

Ok, this is my words. I'm working for PC IMAGE ( i dont hide true)
if 50(customer)/50(staff) = mean no one is right or wrong if 40(customer)/60(staff) = mean customer is abusing, as staff been blamed for not a good reason - Customer sometimes is too rude / not all the staff is rude (its depend on what u demand) everyone have bad day also (50[customer]/50[staff]) for this - Customer cant wait for warranty due to manufacturer problem (give alot of bitching reason / even sue the company) - REMEMBER SHOP Warranty is 1-years (FOC for all the cost to send over to manufacturer) true that HDD or other part is 3-year warranty but its from Manufacturer) (20[customer]/80[staff]) ok, Case Scenario; i remember one of my staff sold off the Acer Laptop to the customer. The staff checking everything, its working fine and even can connect to wireless for internet. Ok, now the staff ask the customer to test be4 he going to pay for the laptop. Customer tested, yeah everything is ok and in good condition. Few day later, customer come back. The staff who sold the laptop is off-day. The customer even go to ACER Service Centre to check on the hardware(100% working fine, with wireless connection, until they have no idea what to do, and pushed back to US (Retailer). So, i took and handle the problem. Customer told me the problem, Cust: I cant connect to my office Wireless Me: (i listen all the problem and...) I asked him did you try other place to online using wireless? example go to starbucks / Coffee Bean / Kaya n toast or your own wireless house? Cust: Yeah, its work perfectly. i Cant connect to my office wireless only. Me: (in my mind, eh that is impossible le since he can online others place only he office cant online and even ACER service centre verify it) So i reply, i really not sure what the cost, or maybe you office wireless limitation? or You need to refer to ur office administrator. Oh btw we just talk only, but customer insist want to show me the problem. But overall experience i encounter that laptop 100% can connect to my wireless network (cause its tested be4) Cust: (So) the customer become FURIOUS!! "YOU HAVENT SEE THE LAPTOP, YOU ALREADY SAY DONT KNOW!!! I WANT TO REFUND!!! (2 Week USE) I WANT TO SEE YOU BOSS!!! I DONT WANT TO TALK TO YOU!! (sadly i the only experience person in diagnostic) So, the customer INSISTED for refund talk very rude and loud, He walk to the Cashier, i dont want to talk to me and ask where your boss??!! Cashier: Boss is not around, because overseas and the person in-charge will be him only (me) Cust: HEY, I SAY I WANT TO SEE YOU BOSS!!! DO U HEAR ME!? & I DEMAND FOR REFUND!!! IF NOT I GONNA SUE UR COMPANY (Talk to loud and disturb others, who want to pay) ME: Come here! i voice out loud (well... :P) open your laptop and let me try to connect WI-FI. Ding, connected to wi-fi and can surf Cust: *reaction suprise & still in loud mode* BUT WHY I CANT GET A CONNECTION FROM MY OFFICE!!! I TESTED 2 SAME LAPTOP, HIS FREN CAN CONNECT BUT HE LAPTOP CANT!! (keep repeating the question over n over with loud voice) until.... ME: (OK! that's no more mr. nice guy) MR. CAN YOU TALK SOFTLY AND NOT SHOUTING!! I'M HERE TO SOLVE UR PROBLEM NOT TO ARGUE WITH U!! Customer cooled down; Cust: so, the problem is... he keep repeat the question again WHY i cant connect to the office network?!?!? ME: do you have administrator or technician at ur office there? cust: he replies "WHY i cant connect to the office network?!?!" ME: no, do ur network have limitation wireless? cust: he replies "WHY i cant connect to the office network?!?!" Me: erm.. sir... cust: he replies "WHY YOU CANT ANSWER MY QUESTION!>!>!>" I shocked IN MY MIND, OMFG!! WHAT WRONG WITH THIS CUSTOMER!!! IT DRAG FOR 15MIN ONWARDS.... me: LASTly i suggest to him` please bring ur wireless router n modem to here and i test for you! cust: *didnt reply my question* (cause that modem he setup him, lastly i found out, through the way he talk) So, the boss come back the others day. i got told the boss, this is his attitude problem, i want to solve but he keep insist and dont want to bring the router back. **but sadly customer win, my boss switch a new laptop to him without my notice** and there goes the customer` (up until now, we dont know whether he can connect to office wi-fi or not, no feed-back from customer) asked my boss` boss say no idea` cause didnt feedback... **yep i quite rude to customer, dont threat us like dog (we're human also have feeling** So judge for urself~ this is real scenario and none of the sentence i been modified it. that is one nasty situation you got there.
^^ being in service line is not always easy. especially in IT, where you meet non-tech people. lol kesian you vandread.

its usual for sales or customer service people to meet all sorts of "customers"..but not all "customers" act human.no matter if the product your selling is tangible or intangible this customers are always there to #$%* up your already miserable job.this is part and parcel of sells line.i've face a few weird people..
i've once workd in a tuition centre partime and one of the parents demanded a deduction of fees becos his primary1 kid missed a single session not becos the class was cancelled but his own personal reason.he came the nextime and even gave me case scenario as an example which stayed in my mind till this day haha.."if you call chicken(keh bo) but you din #$%* her la you pay her onot!!" well i just smiled and say no but in my head i thought "you #$%*ing fool u call chicken dont #$%* is your own problem la also have to pay!!" with such a lame example who wud giv u deduction!!well in the end if im not mistaken he dint get it

Well~ some are really~ @#$%%^* xD but in BOSS or management side have different in their mind, if you scold customer, you're WRONG~ definely wrong, no arguement xD
"If u threat ppl good, They'll threat you good" Don't ask for something unreasonable or something cant be unsolved, whereas they dont want to bring the thing to check (like my case) :) @juanil arrgghh, that was pretty nasty~ lol, that customer sure know how to bargain the way XD (personal opinion = Bo lui, dont send kidz for tuition) n his even asked for impossible thing ROFL - if like that, every parents of the tuition kidz want to discount lo. Oh that scenario is totally out of topic. Your place is Tuition center~ not Keh bo center :P
