Don't listen to rumours la. The Spring is not under Taib or any of his family members. Its owned by someone more powerful - a sibu foochow! haha. Don't play play.

I heard Charles & Keith closed down cause the principal in Singapore canceled the contract for the Kuching Franchisee. Cause they weren't running it properly.

I also heard they didn't renew the contract for many of the 2nd floor lots cause they wanna turn it into some kinda family park or arcade center.

Kuching can do with an Indoor Theme Park like these:

http://www.transstudioworld.com/

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KidZania

Bandung and Makassar was put into the tourism map and become a must visit destination during school holidays because of the trans studio, so Kidzania in Jakarta.

Regarding the parking fee charge by hour, I heard some said it is because the swinburne student park their cars at the spring car park. Because the swinburne car park charge by hour, so it is cheaper to park their car at the spring. No sure it is true or not la...

the new parking rate only applies on weekends and public holidays. do the students of swinburne have classes on these days?

i suppose the hike is to curb the problem of having a full carpark during weekends and holidays. having a higher turnover rates will bring in more potential customers. lots of malls are practising the same policy, e.g. gurney plaza in penang.

come, come ..let's us increase Spring turnover rate ...

friends, car oil go there already xxxx .. parking fee now change already xxxx . the things there also already xxxx ...

thought of going there and window shopping as long as possible with friends ... lepaking and eating already take more than 2 hours ... so, such policy will definitely filter me out ...

good also, save my fuel money and can play facebook ... no that, my neighbourhood do not have the basic necessary stuff that i need ...

I wish Spring the best ... hope it will get more quality turnover rate ... especially those crowd that carry many many shopping bags and pushing trolley of goods ... if no Spring, Kuching will be more boring ...

Other than MBO which offers a 3D theater, Lotus Five Star too have a 3D theater too.

Ticket price:
MBO = RM20
LFS = RM16

I watched Transfomers : The Dark Moon 3D at LFS, so far I simply love everything that being offered.

1. Great sound system
2. Great clear 3D experience.

Cuma satu only, unlike MBO, LFS only have 1 hall for 3D which is Hall 3 and i can say the room is not that big compare to MBO.
But who cares. LFS couldn't do anything to expand the room as MBO on the first place has already lay out the blueprint of the cinema that they want during Spring in development.

Unlike Star cineplex until now:
1. The quality of the projection is not that good.
2. Sound system macam rubbish.

I mean what's the use of having those speakers at the left and right of the wall tapi bunyi tak ada? Cuma harap that speaker from the front only.
Both MBO and LFS have a superb sound system and trust me, when I say it's good, IT IS GOOD.

I went to Star last two weeks ago because I'm very desperate to watch Transformers, MBO is full so just go to Star.
Regret ever!
Room so humid, panas also, sound system sucks like hell and the quality of projection is not so good.
End up being frustrated after watching the movie.
By the next week, I went to LFS since MBO is still full house and opt for the 3D Transformers.
Great view, great sound system and end up puas hati seeing it. Thus, I'm not hesitate if i want to watch movie 3D at LFS since I already know the quality that they offer and the level of satisfaction that I will get.

P/s: As for the candy bar, the popcorn at LFS is the best. The whole butir-butir popcorn ada itu covered with caramel. And the crispiness and the crunchiness is just right. Unlike MBO and Star candy bar. Their popcorn is not up to my satisfactory level.
Thumbs up the LFS candy bar.

OMG, nowadays the Spring really sucks! The maintenance is so bad!. Looking at the cinema floor last night, I was shocked to find out the shoplots all closed down and left a mess of renovation of expansion something? But it seemed a real mess!

As well as MBO! I couldn't believe it was so difficult to find seats because the seat alphabets were all gone!
