Pullman Kuching is set to open its doors come Nov 17. It is part of the Pullman Hotels and Resorts, upscale hotels designed specifically for today’s business and leisure travellers under the well-known Accor Group, and will be Accor’s second Pullman in Malaysia.
Nestled in the city’s Golden Triangle and atop the hill of Jalan Mathies, Pullman Kuching is just a mere 20 minutes’ drive from Kuching International Airport and adjacent to the Hills Shopping Mall, a two-storey city lifestyle shopping centre due to open in December this year.
Whether you are in Kuching for business or pleasure, ‘Check-in, Chill-out’ in any of the 389 spacious guest rooms, each equipped with the latest technological in-room connectivity devices and boasting other ‘Pullman Room’ signature features such as Pullman Bed, LCD television with a large selection of international channels, high speed Internet access, in-room safety box and Pullman in-room fitness workout equipment.
While staying at Pullman Kuching, guests can easily venture on foot to discover the city’s diverse selection of shops, restaurants, temples and bazaars. Other attractions within Kuching include Sarawak Cultural Village, Damai Beach, Bako National Park and Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, where visitors can mingle with the orangutans of Borneo.
The hotel boasts the largest banquet space in the city with its state-of-the-art ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,500 people for a sit-down banquet. Overall it has a total of 3,660 square metres of meetings and event space with ten comprehensive banquet and conferencing venues.
Pullman Kuching is also set to be the popular venue for extensive food and beverage options, with several food and beverage outlets, namely Puzzle, Nu Er Hong, Déjà Vu, Liquid and Café Ch@t.
Puzzle is the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, offering a relaxing alfresco dining experience as well as private dining rooms. International dishes with a focus on regional cuisine are available all day and into the night from interactive cooking stations or the a la carte menu.
Nu Er Hong, the hotel’s Chinese restaurant, offers a contemporary dining environment with an open concept kitchen. Nu Er Hong also offers private dining options.
Guests can choose to relax at Déjà Vu the lobby lounge, which serves specialty coffee and bar service, or at Café Ch@t, also at the lobby area, which serves home-made pastries and cakes, ice cream and desserts. Café Ch@t has Wi-Fi availability so Internet-savvy guests can chill out and stay connected here.
Liquid is the hotel’s poolside venue that serves fresh juices and healthy snacks daily, with a DJ to keep guests entertained every weekend evening.
While staying at Pullman Kuching, guests can maintain their regular workout routines. The hotel’s contemporary fitness centre, with knowledgeable support staff on hand, offers modern equipment and the latest exercise programmes. For those seeking a total relaxation of mind, body and spirit, they can check out the hotel’s large spa facility with seven treatment rooms and an outdoor swimming pool with sun deck.
”We are very much looking forward to welcoming our first guests to the hotel. The opening of the newest international hotel for Kuching is surely welcomed by local residents and visitors to this picturesque city, the capital of Sarawak,” said the General Manager Fabrice Mini.
