we really need more police to patrol city areas especially where theres more pedestrians.its better to patrol on foot or even bicycle and not only sitting comfortably in wajahs speeding around.appear only after a crime happened not there to prevent it.atleast to know that the goverment has given their utmost effort but i dont see anything has been done which should be done 10yrs ago.

Snatch thieves should really be hanged! Totally agree with Webbie!! The sight of headlines about snatch theft on the newspaper makes me sick. I feel so sorry for the tourists. Kudos to the efficiency of the authority concerned.

Tourists are sadly unwitting victims of crime, regardless of the location; they just seem like easy prey. Thailand and the Philippines has it's fair share, as does Egypt and Italy; but for this to strike so close to home really does nail the hammer in.

Hanging is a bit of a drastic move, though I would agree that more policemen should patrol the streets to give a sense of security and to assist on the spot. CCTVs are good to monitor and catch them after a period of time, but are somewhat useless when the crime happens. Response time for CCTV-watching personnel as opposed to personnel on the ground may vary but the difference is huge.
