I mean B744 and A380 need long strech of runway to land if got heavy load. And airlines now buy A380 is becuause it can carry more load compare to 744. It's bigger than 744. Also it's more spacious, that's what they claimed. But no matter what 744 can be as spacious as 380 but carry less load because most airline bought the aircarfts they will have their own way of decide on how the seats plan will be, two B744s might have different seats plan. Less seats means spacious legroom. 380 they can carry more passenger but they can also carry less as it depends on how the airline arrange the seats in the cabin.

Ok.. ok... listen carefully:
747-300 aka 743 is always landing and take off at KIA 747-200 aka 742 is always landing and take off at KIA These are two 747 that can land here and always land here. It's a commn scene. 747-400 aka 744 cannot land here with heavy load. Got it? Those ppl that always deal with aircrafts and airlines will refer using 742, 743 or 744 for each. It's the so called "short forms". 7E7 is another thing. It's the new dreamliner of Boeing. 744 has been the biggest aircarft for decades until the introduction of A380. But still 744 is the Queen of the skies coz A380 haven't really being used to ferry passenger or cargoes.

Wow... amazing ler, Lovebell. I still don't understand the jargon but at least I know the shortforms now. However, I don't know how each one looks like.

Frankly... I don't know how to differentiate 742 and 743, only know that 742 is smaller than 743 (Virce, when we go s'pore, we're on 743, back ot kch on 742, no wonder I felt the aircarft is so much smaller).
744 is the easiest to identify, only aircraft with 4 engines (two each under each wing), the winglets on the edge of each wing (the edging bended up), the biggest one too. Usually used for long haul such as to LA, Frankfurt, London etc. And it can actually fly non-stop from s'pore to LA. So for SIA sometimes they use Airbus to fly non-stop to LA sometimes use 744, non-stop too(which the later I tot it's impossible until he told me it could do so and he's been flying it non-stop whenever to LA). Also it's always used in advert for airlines, mayeb when A380 is officially used, airlines might replace the aircarft used for advert.

I'm not familiar with 737 fleets. It's smaller if not mistaken. By the way 777 fleets, 772 (777-200) and 773 ( 777-300) also used for long haul too but with stop if not mistaken.
