Oh my goodness... Yuppie!! You stay in Matang Jaya?! *LOL* I think you shocked every local in here.

If you don't have financial issues with buying a car here, it's advisable to get one. It's cheaper than using taxis in the long run. Get a small one, second hand. That way you can sell it off easier later on. By the way, do you have a driving license? I'm not sure if Singapore driving license can be used here, can somebody answer that?

I used to do clubbing in KL, and tried to do a little here when I came back, but it's not as fun here. I doubt you'll find crowds like at Zouk's if you visit the ones here. Last time I checked, the crowd doesn't dance. *LOL* It's really pathetic! So my advice to you is, take a vacation from the clubbing scene - and save some money in the process to spend it on something else.

Everyone is shocked!!! ahahah...
it's like from Sembawang to Tanjong Pagar hahahaah... except that the public transport here is not that good as S'pore, far far far more different.
As fro driving licence, shouldn't be any problem, u can apply for international licence. You can ask Swinburne about it.

Suprisingly far... mmm... but as long as you dont mind the daily travel distance, and comfortable with it, why not?

***Experience a different lifestyle. ***

Personally, i seem like never been to matang jaya, though i'm kuchingian. So how is matang jaya's development now, i've got no idea. Is it mostly malay residents? if so then must be flooded with malay food as well, right? and.. understand traffic flow is always congested along matang road everyday, especially peak hour, is it really so?

Yuffie.. mind to share? haha... terrible lah me. (cannt blame also lah as i'm not in kuching now)

Yuffie, here's another idea... I think you better move to another house, nearer to your campus. It's not impossible. Ask around, or better yet, go cruising in one of your willing local friend's car. You'll find signs. Or you can call up those real estate agents (ask a local to call, she might cut your throat) and ask.

Of course, this is all up to you. If you want to stay there, that's fine.

I'm sure u can get all those details like place to stay or buy a car in Swinburne notice board and ask the ppl there. Also the driving licence u can ask those in the campus, the student council will be helpful or the lecturer or staff or councellor there. They are sure to be able to help you with it. That's what they are there for.
