it's confirm City One is a bit larger than the spring.
the mall comprise street mall, main block shopping mall and sub block entertainment centre.

City One Mall:
- 8.9 acre site - gross floor area = 732,000 sq ft - net lettable area = 500,000 sq ft tHe Spring: - 12 acre site - gross floor area = 1,200,000 sq ft - net lettable area = 420,000 sq ft Although tHe Spring is smaller in terms of NLA, but the GFA is much larger than City One Mall's GFA. Hence, tHe Spring offer a better shopping experience as it has very tall ceiling and also large & spacious walkway.

The current front of CityOne that is under construction now looks suspiciously like shophouses.....
Anyone else notice that it is about 2-3 storeys high and EACH lot has stairs going up? Why would each lot need stairs if this is a shopping mall?

Now I really wonder all these shopping malls could attract more tourists to come, unless they have very competitive prices and easy accessibility, such as shuttles, etc.
I think it's only viable for Kuching to have more markets, like night markets to stroll around, selling the local products. It works well in many tourism hot spots and I'm sure it shall work in Kuching, too!

Emergency exits? Side entrances? The possibilities of extra side staircases are endless! Not all shopping malls are 5 storeys high; the Spring is barely 2.
Though I did notice a suspicious looking gap in between the buildings under construction fronting Tun Jugah Road.
