This really happened in singaporean communities where they they feel pressurize on looking after their parents especially those with alzheimer disease or related. That's why the movie encourage us to be loyal & caring to our parents no matter what happened.

especially sad when they wanna burn the amulet, so the mother can move on faster :P wtf, i cant imagine any child to do or even think of it to their parents.

bytez your wrong i think here. cos the movie shows even if your NOT loyal & caring your deceased parent(s) when they are alive, they will still strike toto and give you, sacrifice their life even :P even give their cracker tin money.

hohoho, anyway, it's different people different interpretation i guess. i think the director is trying to show the minus side of the community which worship money & the funny side & the sad side of it. & how great mother love is, even die a number like 8888 can strike 4D.
