CCTV is a good idea! preventive measure as advice to tourists, and btter police patrol system etc

Well, in regards to CCTVs, I'd say they're not quite good in preventing such incidences, but they are quite affective in solving the mystery of who the criminal is.

This is ashame for image of our city. Council should enact laws to deal with these culprits, at least something like imprisonment for 10 years or the sort! Oh dear, targeting foreign tourist is really a bad idea...........

Mocha, agreed with the CCTVs, but as experience tells us they either sometimes just let us see the incident taking place with the quality is too poor to determine who is actually responsible, too little CCTVs to track them down (as compared to London where they have CCTV at every nook & cranny, or the CCTVs simply didn't work at the time of incident. Or those controlling the cameras pointed them in the wrong direction (at girls maybe, like that incident in Penang)
