Yes, we want GSC, if they don't come we go MBO. If MBO cannot make it, we go Star or Riverside.
One thing I find annoying is some people talk during the show when their handphone rings. In that instant, I would think, I can just watch internet movie without taking in these annoyance crabpid people. kekeke...

MBO is taking advantage of being the only cinema offering 3d movies. we need at least another operator in kuching that also features 3d movies so that there will be a healthy competition.
heard that boulevard will also have 3d in 2nd phase right? what about onecitymall?

STAR is still doing alright despite MBO's opening.

i too think MBO is the number 1 in kch right now and full most of the time. but with at least another 3d cinema they will compete to serve better for customers and the best price wins.
the pattern in kuching now is that if they smell competition, then only they renovatela here and there, upgrade.. look at LFS and STAR before MBO came in, relax-relax, don't care if the environment sucky a bit. last time we don't have choice, LFS or STAR.they might think people will come anyway since they are the only ones.

Before MBO opened, Star and Metrowealth are the cineplexes that have the "whatever" or "cincai" attitude. When LFS took over Metrowealth, they spent RM2 million to renovate the cineplex right away. They did put effort to provide a better experience for movie watchers. But due to limitation of the location , they could only make use of present space and try to renovate the cineplex to make it better. Riverside Shopping Complex is not a new shopping mall like tHe Spring, and there are many hotel rooms above the cineplex. LFS could not do any expansion to the cineplex as there is no space for it.

Not sure about Star, but for LFS, during blockbuster movie showtimes such as 2012 and Iron Man 2, the cineplex was very very FULL which surprised me a lot!

Such a long time I dint go to Spring Mall. I was surprised to see lots of shops are closed down. Established company like Nokia, Lea Centre, Charles & Keith, Pier Cardin, and the most surprising me, the retail at 2nd Floor (same floor with MBO) are almost close all..
I have a friend who work in one of the retail in Spring Mall, they said the rental is raising, many shops cant make it anymore.. I think if Spring Mall continue practice this, soon, the are more shopping mall will replace them.. (Summer Mall is coming, fall? winter? lol) P/S: Even the parking now will charge by hour in July.. Good Luck Spring Mall.
