No safety compliance in Malaysia that's for sure. You either crash testing under:
NCAP Euro or NCAP Australia If BLM is not to be exported, Proton need not worry about any of those safety compliance.

The current Malaysian safety standard would be:
1. Blame the driver, even if the steering wheel came off the car and is located about 1000 feet away from the wreck. 2. Blame the other driver. 3. Make a lot of noise about the consequences of not having rear belts, even though Proton didn't provide rear belts as standard 15 years ago yet neglect to touch on the appalling road designs as the cause of accidents in the first place. That's it.

so, erm, who's responsibility is it to rising accident rate? me? or "you"? think about it. if there's no safety compliance in these cars, then, isn't that they are driving us to the road of death?

That is exactly what I am talking about, and that was exactly why I was stressing that they should re-name the model as Proton Suicide. Which explains that if the BLM models are not to be exported, then, they (Proton) need not worry about safety compliance (because it will only be sold in Malaysia and that nobody would care anyway), hence, the 'base' 'line' 'model' with nothing, except a moving mass of metal that will not stop properly when needed to. Road casualty and accidents are inevitable, there is no point blaming each other for the fault, but there is a point to blame a manufacturer for failing to make its car safer on the road, either in protecting the occupants in the car, or the make it as hard as possible for the car to spun out and crash. Introducing, the new system in modern safe cars, ESP, Electronic Stability Program. Different manufacturers carry different terms, VSC (from Toyota) - Vehicle Stability Control, VDC - Vehicle Dynamic Control, ESP - Electronic Stability Program, ESC - Electronc Stability Control. Then moving on with the newest technology, EBA, Electronic Brake Assists, which could sense the amount of pressure to be applied to the brakes to avoid hitting the car in the front, and so many more. While for Proton, they couldn't care less to even include the technology introduced 3 decades ago, the ABS.

Who says they don't? They just tweak the brakes weaker so the wheels don't lock. There we go! Anti-locking

Lol yes, and they think adding a 'balloon' or two could make up for it, something that we don't know if it will ever deploy!
