Sorry if I antagonised anyone here, most sincere apologies. Subtleties and being well mannered were never really part of my strong points. I shall refrain from such activities from now on and tone down a notch.

Once more apologies for any offenses, ill feelings or greviousness caused.

mocha, your intelligent and interesting posts are always welcomed, I really enjoy reading them. I also think that you'll make one hell of a barrister should you decide to give legal practice a go one day. In the interim, enjoy your travels, and do share with us your adventures...you make some of us relive their youth again.

Thanks for that. I like sharing my stories, makes me relive them and endeavor to explore more. And the youth part, coming from you, swimming 1km and jogging, keeping fit, I'd say you never left your youthful lifestyle.

Ah commitments...the very bane of impulse decisions.

First time I saw snow was when I was a kid and lived in the UK. My God I was overjoyed I brought it inside the house. Spring in Frankfurt is nice, and all I did was eat pretzels (the bread-type, not the hard type) and sausages all day. If there is one city that loves art more than Paris, it would be Frankfurt.

One of the funniest things happened to me in Paris. Was ordering in a cafe near the Centre Pompidou. All I went was "Un cafe mocha, un the, un croissant et une eclaire chocolat, s'il vous plait." The barista was so shocked, but not as shocked as I was when he asked me why I spoke with such a heavy Parisien accent.

UK frankfurt paris..ohhh
hope i can too..before age 40 ..

Look at the current Malaysia Airlines Golden Holidays promotion. I was shocked. RM2500 to Dubai return plus accomodation; RM3500 to the UK, around RM3000 to LA...and RM700 to Bali. All ex-KUL.

Borneo Post, 13/3/2008, Page 5.

Erratum: Bali RM900, Dubai RM2700, LA RM3500.

Nonetheless, still cheap. I paid RM1300 to Bali return from Kuching, without accommodation, on one of their 'promo' flights.

Fly between 1 April- 30 Sept 2008, book between 14-16 March
