Do you all remember what happen to Sarawak Tribune? I tell you, some people just have 'small gas' !!!

When is Malaysians going to rise up like the riots in Bangkok to bring down the corrupt government?

I think if demostrations burn down business districts in Bukit Bintang, then this will get the corruption governemnt of Malaysia to take NOTE and have a WAKE up call!

Oh please, no riots! While it may somehow galvanise the country, it will at the same time divide us. I say use our lawful, Constitution-given right.

I say a properly impartial and uninfluenced Royal Commission to ascertain the assets of those in power. Idealistic, yes, unrealistic, maybe, but imagine the loss of credibility to the 'Rakyat' if our politicians keep skirting around the topic of what they own and the wealth they have amassed since gaining power.

Though 'People Power' in the Philippines and 'Red vs Yellow' in Thailand did somehow bring into the foray the question of the benevolent dictator/autocrat with extensive business interests; i.e. Ferdinand Marcos and Thaksin Shinawatra.

newspaper are not afraid, rather they are not stupo to fall into the same obvious trap. besides, not many people reading the newspaper nowadays.
Usually if i read physical newspaper, it's the other guy holding it, & I'm just watching from the side.

If I read the physical newspaper, it's either, like Resuree, from the other guy holding it, or if I get it on the plane or the hotel.

There were peaceful demonstrations a while back in Kuching, protesting against corruption and all, but few reporters covered it. We could of course suggest a story to Al Jazeera, who has a knack for looking at 'alternative' news more critically, especially in the region. They did interview Dr Masing once and it was very amusing to see him skirt around a very contentious logging issue.

Of course we can do peaceful demonstrations; but we'll need a permit from the police, and support from people. We just need a really loud spokesperson and personnel not afraid to stand up to the powers that be.

Sarawak has yet to cultivate that culture of organized mass demonstration. Sarawakians have always been reputed to be civil and passive under most circumstances, and those who walk the corridors of power will continue with their nefarious ways.

Hopefully a time will come when more voters will evolve into an educated dynamic force and exercise their franchise intelligently. Maybe then a change can materialise.

Meanwhile, bitching and gnashing of teeth is the only option.

'Peaceful demonstration' is an oxymoron. When people go for a peaceful demonstration, they go sightseeing and socialising. People who have been wronged look for justice, not peace.

But voting is the easiest way to voice.

Yep, second that, voting is the most simple direct way of legally expressing our view.
The opposition, I hope they work together, no 3 corner fight.
If before win also already split, after they win confirm kelam-kabut and a lot of party hopper. End up back to square one.

I think the reason you dont see any uprising is because people in Sarawak are not treated bad.

Lets say Sarawak is suppressed on all 4 corners like Israel supressing Palestine and everything go in and out must be check.

Or lets say Sarawak is supressed by China like that do on Mongolia and Tibet!

THEN .. then ...

Lets see if Sarawakians rise up and some would even die for it!

So we are not in that condition at all.

The while hair monkey is milking some and giving some. Just not enough to get you all mad and over the edge!

But lets say somebody want to open a manufacturing plant or open a big condo, then you better give the white hair monkey something, otherwise NO. That is already enought to discourage anyone!
