Hi KH, u try to walk around KFC and McD, i am very sure there is someone celebrate V day there. I think i did that when i m school day, but not more after working! (Got a bit of money to please the gal mah~!)

Haha, yes, I can understand that those in school may not have the cash (or due to other factors) so all they can go to is fast food outlets.

But still, it isn't a romantic place to bring your partner for Valentine.

And I don't know if it's the name of an eatery there or the new name for the place, but Lake Park is Reservoir Park.

And yeah, like Luxferi said, I'd suggest something unique or out of the ordinary. The hard part is to think of something unique. But at the very least, take her out to a decent eatery at a hotel preferably.

Hehe..I don't have a partner yet, but the ideal place I've always dreamt about of bringing her to during Valentine's is a secluded, secret, well hidden and relatively big pond that nobody knows of surrounded by trees and a grove. Can just laze on the grassy turf next to the pond with swans or ducks swimming in the pond, birds chirping, slight breeze from the trees and the sun shining down with the shade from the trees blocking it so it won't be so hot. Haha..

The only problem is how to find a place like this in Kuching..haha

AT HOME!! DO THE COOKING TOGETHER... EAT TOGETHER. You spent 1/3 the price compared to eating outside, but gain triple in term of food quality, love to each other and space of your own. ;)

Let me summarise:

LOW BUDGET, like students, i am sure there is a valentine value meal offer too~, we shall see!
1) KFC
2) MCD
3) SUGARBUN!! (Almost forget)

SELF PREPARED SCHEME
4) Picnic, suggested by Lux - for those who have free time, on leave or jobless
5) Dinner at home, suggested by KBS - for those who earns their home sweet home, otherwise need to share dinner with parents or relatives
5. Waterfront, suggested by Edwin

MIDDLE RANGE
6) Coffee Bean - as it is too popular in Spore, I will classify as middle range.

HIGHER AIM
6) Oriental Passion/Italian by 51, sound like a candle dinner, budget 100++??
7) Lake Park, suggested by KH, enjoying the greenery in the park. (ONE OF MY FAVOURITE, I wish to celebrate in this manner, I will go in the evening time, get the sunset. Two different atmosphere before and after the dinner! but I dont have GF, so sad.)
8) Magenta suggested by Edwin ( I still dont know where it is)
9) Bla Bla suggested by Edwin ( I still dont know where it is)
10)The Junk suggested by Edwin ( I still dont know where it is)
11) The colours...

Remember to do your reservation earlier for those want to celebrate in restaurant/cafe!! HAPPY VALENTINE!!

Any more suggestion?

Heh, just to clarify, it was Nick that suggested Lake Park.

I just posted my dream place to bring my partner for Valentine.

I think Waterfront at night is not that great a place, as can be quite dangerous (pickpockets etc). And got a lot of those 'useless' people (for lack of a better term to describe them). You know, the Malay equivalent of Ah Bengs. The ones that dressed in all blacks just lepaking around. Want to 'pa to' with your partner also very uncomfortable with them around.

And if you're looking to engage in more intimate activities at night, the Museum Ground and Lake Park are not very safe places to go as well.

the drinks there are really good though. the food prepared for valentine's day are special. they don't have it on the menu on usual days.

Coffee master specialty is their curry chicken, vietnamese chicken with rice. which i personally enjoy.

But best of all, i think the place is cozy and romantic for Valentine's day. *grin*
