what does benak means anyway? tidal ah?

I checked the sri aman website
why they put "Tidal Bore Festival ".
the name "tidal bore" is such a turn off for the festival. sounds boring. =_=

whats the best way to got sri aman? by land by sea or jalan kaki?
take river cruise? i never been there before.

yup, benak means tidal bore. but it's not tidal wave.
tidal bore only happens in river.

so far i know you can get there by car. Jalan Kaki, are you crazy? hehe. by sea, you can't. by river cruise? no idea.
the best way is to get there by car. you can also take express bus.

it's about 3 hours drive from Kuching using the Kuching-Serian road. it's halfway on the way to Sibu if you travel by car.
last time used to take up to 5 hours drive but now the road has improved a lot. preferably go during durian season time... haha. tons of cheap, tasty durians. hehe.

hope that helps

btw, the place is very small. you can visit the whole place within a day. if driving around using cars, less than 2 hours.
went there last year and my friend drove me around the whole place within 2 hours.
