hmm reminds me of an incident long time ago that took place over at the lake. all i can remember is that there's a school bus filled with school children plunged into the lake. none of them manage to escape.

Don't you guys know that the water is so toxic that there virtually isn't any living aqua creatures in it? The arsenic and mercury content is so high that nothing survives in it. That's the stuff left there by the mining activities. Swimming? You've got to be kidding!! Perfect for commiting suicide!

I knew about the arsenic water and mercury water content. but still i heard people swimming there despite the danger.

according to the bau.com.my website it says this

Quote:

Despite this, some people are seen swimming and catching fish in the lake. The state government through the NREB is in the process of engaging experts, most probaly from foreign countries to study the source of the arsenic, and ways of overcoming the problem in order to make the water safe for recreational activities.

Talking about the bus accident, I remembered my aunt's cousin was one of the victim in the bus.

The 'fish' must have been the spirit of the departed, or ikan hantu!
