Hi everyone ...

Does anyone know, where you can buy an Erhu in Kuching? And where to take a few lessons?

It is not very hard to find Er-Hu in Kuching.

For normal and common Er-Hu, you may go to [Fei-Li] which is located in Ground Floor, Upwell Building nearby Li-Hua Hotel.

Or for branded Er-Hu (Of course the price is "branded", but i am not sure with the quality), you can go to Shang-Yin Qin Zheng Hang nearby King Center, they also provide Er-Hu class. And i believed the fee is "branded" too.

As for intermediate Er-Hu class, you can either fo to Qing-Yi, or Oriental, Nan-Yan those Chinese Instrument Association, situated along Jalan Pending, very close to Hong Leong Bank. Once you enrol the class (with very very very very reasonable price), the Er-Hu teacher will find you a nice Er-Hu which is suite to your taste, budget and quality.

All the best to you.

(Interested to become Gu-Zheng or Pi-Pa player instead of Er-Hu? Hehehehe...)

Thanks for the helpful information. Both pipa and erhu sounded very nice, but I get the feeling pipa is much more difficult. I have been busy with violin lessons, so I kinda hope pipa might share similar methods. (hehe...wisful thinking).

First getting the erhu, then can take lessons! Yipee...

Oh yes, I read from somebody about the 7th mile teh si peng in the soapbox...is it this kopishop??? Fresh Food Court.
