Can anyone help me with this? I got a Compaq Presario.
I went out to buy a S-cable to hook my laptop to the TV's S-video input. But the guy at the shop said he is out of em, so he sold me some converter thingy which means I connect it to my laptop's S-video output, than connect it to another cable, which splits into a red and white color plug-thingy. I assume I plug one of those into the video-thingy on the TV where I plug in my PS2. I also got a Audio cable thingy which i plug into my headphone-jack on my laptop, than it splits into a red and black plugs. I think this is quite straight-forward. So anyway, I pluged in the video as above (the shop-owner told me so). But nothing happened. I suppose to do anything else? Thanks to anyone who can help me! ![]()

get the S cable only, the other methods are dodgy.
I am not sure how good they are, but the last time I tried, it wasn't that good, especially if you are conneting them into a large TV screen.

Thanks, is there anything I need to do? Like change settings or anything? Or it will automatically pop up in the TV when I plug it in?

yea when u plugin the S-cable to ur tv and laptop
restart your laptop. then you go to your desktop properties (rightclick, properties) click on the last tab - Settings on the Display, you may get another option besides your "default monitor or lcd". select it and OK on your main big tv. you need to try out the channels. AV, Video or something i not sure. just a few test one by one. and make sure you got your video running in your laptop first. so when u try the channels, you know whether its working or not. ![]()

desktop pc, depends on the motherboard or the graphic card i think most doesn't have svideo output for laptop, most of the modern one will have Svideo out. Attach file: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
