for the bad part is the sound system. thats the only problem i got.
what i did was, I plug the "headphone" port to my tv sound input.
I think my laptop's sound system not powerful enough to blast the sound.

LOL, impossible, how old is your laptop? All laptops made within 3 years or so should have S-Video port

Bought the S-video cable and tried it out today. It works like a charm!

After pluggin it in and restarting it, and changing the settings as Webmaster instructed, my movie was up and running no problem. But I had to change some additional settings in order for the DVD movie to show up on the screen. Made it so that it was visible on my TV, but invisible on my laptop screen.

But other than that, it works great! And I found it quite clear on my TV too. Thanks everyone for your input!
