Me too.


Habis lo if like that! Those brand spanking new shopping malls with shiny floors will have no customers and in the end shops will close down one by one, no one will want to go there because there are no shops, and then... dun dun dun.. what will happen next? No giant companies will want to come in...

For me all this shopping mall have no attraction for me. I'm much perfer a nice kolo mee, which you can't find in all those mega mall.

+Boulevard Mall
+Ngui Kee Hypermart
+Novotel Shopping Center (at Golden Triangle)
+Merdeka Plaza (at Golden Triangle)
=New Shopping Heaven

Its because West Malaysia is over-saturated with shopping malls now, there is alot of competition. Next logical place to develop is East Malaysia.

Considering that quite a few East Malaysians make a trip to KL at least once a year to shop, shows that there is some market here isn't it? And Compared to some other states, I think we are generally quite wealthy.

I was once told that a few years ago, the CEO of a Cognac company (Remy Martin or Martell, I can't remember) made a trip to Sibu.

Why Sibu of all places?

Cause apparently Sibu has got one of the highest rates of consumption of Cognac per capita in the world! So he went there to check out why.

let us just make sure that the multi billion dollar malls are not flocked and finished off with cheap clothing retail shops selling cheap low standard Hong Kong / Taiwan / China design apparels
