I did an experiment based on what I got from a website. and here is the outcome

I boosted the wi-fi signal in my house from 39% to 70% !
Not only that, i also pickup signal from my neighbor, signal ranging from 10% to 20% *grin*

I did it with a RM4 wok from the 2.00 shop. boosted a weak signal from outdoor to indoor from 35% to 60%.

a wok? u mean the steel one?
fuh twice the signal. cool eh?
post up a photo !

I got my access point inside my room. the usb signal receiver is on the bottom floor. so the signal pretty much got filtered by walls and lightings i think.

I'll get a photo once i got my new camera.

Yeah it's a steel wok about 10-12 inches across. It's the wok cover actually, they come as a set. By unscrewing the handle, I got a hole in the middle perfect for mounting on a small camera tripod.

So now the set up looks like some professional spy equipment.

the only drawback the whole setup i had was the motherboard usb port is v1.1 so the speed wasn't that efficient.

I had to revive the old desktop as a temporary replacement for my recent dead laptop..

Now old dino pentium 3 MMX goes wireless !
