Wi Fi - wireless fidelity

They sell special antennas that connect to your USB which would boost the built-in wifi signals. I'm not sure if they do work, but a friend in Singapore says they do and it's neat. But expensive.

Or you could try using your notebook in a large wok and aiming it in the general direction of wifi signal..

if you are trying to boost your router's wireless signal
then you can do this

If you are trying to get better signal from your inbuilt wifi in your laptop. you can get this neat usb stuff here

or you can get a wireless pcmcia card for your laptop where you can do this mod here

well instead of booster what your laptop. possibly amplify your wireless router

depending on your laptop. the inbuilt Wi-Fi could just be underneath your laptop. unscrew it and see how it looks like. it usually have two cables.

If i am not mistaken, just lenghten the cables externally to your strainer or something else that could boost the signal. (do at your own risk)

or perhaps read this site
here
