FTW!

Most of the old members here know me well that I have high expectation out of a newly released blobkbuster movie, and considering the cinema ticket prices that we are paying over here in Australia, you gotta make sure the movie is worth it.

And I must say, I haven't been much impressed with the new releases lately but I just watched Transformer last night and god must I say it is BLOODY GOOD.

I am normally not a big fan of imaginary inspired movies but I can still remember the cartoon animation series of the transformer and I think I can recall having transformer robot toys during my childhood, but this version is definitely good, and meaningful.

The visual effects is really something to comment on, it was awesome none the less, I have never seen such detailed special effects before in my life.

The story line was good, without adding spoilers to those people who has yet to see the movie, it is basically a war going on between the two groups of the robots world and the bad side tried to conquer other planets in the universe but landed on earth.

So the good Optimus Prime and his group were trying to destroy this 'cube' which supposedly can give power to control over the earth, from the hands of Megatron (the evil one).

I must say:

1) Nice effects
2) nice story line
3) nice cars (the 2008 Camro Chev)

Ratings from me?

9/10

Yes.

Highly recommended and worth every penny you spend on the tickets.

Duration is 2 hrs ++

I agree, was watching it last night, really highly recommended.

Michael Bay directed it and I wasn't expecting any less from him apart from perfection.

I think I might watch it in Melbourne and Adelaide, just for the fun of it. Care to watch it again with me, Edgar? I'm flying in next week...

Wow, thanks for the review, I'd head out to watch it, but I hate the cineplex here in Miri. I'll keep it in mind.

I am one of those oddballs who grewing up actually hating the Transformers cartoon.. so we'll see how the movie pans out for me.

Thanks for the review guys... I will only watch a movie if the movie gets good review from viewers. Anyway, I thought of watching it last weekend but something came up at the very last minute. So I guess I will watch it this week.

Die Hard 4.0... has anyone watch it yet? Let me know how it is but dont reveal too much on the storyline. It'll spoil the fun of watching it later

Saw Die Hard 4.0 trailer while waiting for Transformers to start; when is Die Hard 4.0 out here (Australia), Edgar?

I wish I had my Optimus Prime truck with me...childish but I always saw Transformers as the coolest thing back in the day. Would rush home from tuition just to watch the cartoon.

Was looking for it at lunchtime, no luck, but then again I think I was looking at all the wrong places...

I wasn't much of a fan of Transformers as a kid but the movie was frickin awesome!

...Although part of me wishes there were less silly human drama and more robots.
