Anyone got the list of events lineup for Kuching Festival?
Borneo Post never shows any detail or i must have missed it. Anything on the chinese newspapers?

Kuching Chess Competition on August 5th
Kuching Fest chess contest on Aug 5

KUCHING: The Sarawak Chess Association will hold a competition on August 5 on the ground floor of the Kuching City South Council and the Dewan Masyarakat in conjunction with the Kuching Festival.

The competition is open to the public and the fixtures are as follows: Round 1 (10.15am-11.15am), Round 2 (11.15am-12.15pm), Round 3 (1.15pm-2.15pm), Round 4 (2.15-3.15pm), Round 5 (3.15-4.15pm), Round 6 (4.15-5.15pm), Round 7 (5.15-6.15pm), Round 8 (7.30pm-8.30pm) and Round 9 (8.30pm-9.30pm).

In the open category, the champion will receive RM200 and a hamper, the first runner-up, RM150 and a hamper and the second runner-up, RM100 and a hamper.

The fourth to sixth placers will receive RM50 each while seventh to 10th placers will receive RM20 each.

In the 18 and under category, the champion will receive RM100 and a hamper, the first runner-up, RM70 and a hamper while second runner-up, RM50 and a hamper.

The fourth to sixth placers will receive RM20 each while the seventh to 10th placers will receive RM10 each.

In the best ladies’ category, the winner will receive RM30, the runner-up, RM20 and the third placer, RM10.

The entry fee is RM5 for the open category and RM2 for the youth and the ladies’ categories.

Been there d 1st nite after rain at 10pm something, still packed wid ppl =D some nice new stalls though. I've shot all tat are in my tryout list (Sat nite went popular 1st spent all me $ so no $ left to try...) Hehe~

Maozi's 28 Jul 2007 collection

Not bad for a start, though it was really a downpour earlier on, but when maozi arrived d fest at 10+pm, it was still packed wid visitors!

We havta parked our car somewhere beside the St. Peter's, so juz borrow one of the tiang as a tripod to have a shot of the main entrance behind chung hua 3:

1 for 60sen, it's deep fried yam coating filled wid redbean paste, not bad~ D tauke neo saw maozi taking foto here n there, wanted 2 gimme a free try kok, haha, but got frens nearby mar, so paiseh eat free, havta act cool by paying d 60 sen lor~

New restoran "East Wind Hill" (direct translation from the "Dong Feng Po" in chinese), d shop is at banhock road, behind DHL, things are quite nice so I suppose d stall's food here also quite nice, kua~

Besides selling choc sticks they also offer prawn sticks. RM3 per packet~
