I'm looking for a new mp3 player after my ipod got stolen (for more details, click below).

http://www.catscity.com.my/modules/ne ... t_id=39599#forumpost39599

I'm thinking of getting Creative Zen as it's cheaper and more bang for buck than ipod (my uncle gave me my ipod nano).

The only place I know that sells Creative Zen is the 3rd floor shop at Saberkas. Anywhere else in Kch that sells Creative Zen so I can compare price?

I'm eyeing a 2GB Creative Zen V Plus that the shop in Saberkas is selling for RM 427.

If you have anyone to get it for you from singapore would be great. its much more cheaper there.

As for Kuching. I don't think there is much choice around.

yeah..it's a singaporean brand..so it's cheaper there. I probably can get someone to get it for me there..but need to wait until end of the year. Don't think can wait that long.

Reliable or not? Ordered something from Amazon once..never did came. Since then..I rather trust physical transactions. Wouldn't mind taking the risk to buy online...but problem is need to go through dad..which heightens the risk if the thing never comes.

i made many orders there already. keybaord. mp3 player. camera accesories. lol.

their registration function is rather tedious. they will need your IC for verification. any fraud wil be reported to police. I can't guranttee the security. but as for now. there hasn;t been any problem for me.

they are most likely to use Maybank2u for online transfer. and they use pos laju for delivery.

Hmm..it's only cheaper by RM 20 (including postage). Might as well just pay extra and get it direct..no hassle.

I got another idea..though I don't know how good it is. Is it recommended if I use a handphone to function as my mp3 player? Plug the handphone into my mp3 modulator, use it as an mp3 device.

that can be a good idea.
infact i myself owned a small slim 1gb mp3 player but I never use it. instead i use my nokia phone to function as a mp3 player.

like when you go jogging, you don't have to bring two items at a time.

it doesn't use alot of battery power if you use the earphones

I'd personally go for a phone with an mp3 player myself. It's a good excuse to upgrade your phone on top of that, heh.

Like webmaster said, one less thing to carry around. Check online reviews for battery life on the phone when it comes to using it as an mp3 player. Memory size can also be expanded which is handy, especially with the ever cheaper memory cards these days.

Plus, as a phone, chances are you'll be carrying it around with you all the time, so less of this nasty smash and grab scenarios. Just have to watch out for pickpockets :p

A mobile phone as mp3 player, personally, is cumbersome. Yes, one less item to carry around, but most are connected with a mouthpiece and that really annoying clip which gets caught in my jacket all the time. It is really hard to run with it.

I would still go for an mp3 player. While an mp3 phone is good when it comes to convenience, an mp3 is good for utility, especially as a USB. No need for complicated programs, just plug and play (as an external drive).
