It's Saberkas... not basket! >.<

GREEN ROAD AREA (near chong ling plaza) a lot of cheap bikes. You can check it out there. SEKAMA AREA (main road) also a lot. You can check out there. Regarding the address I am not sure. Now I'm leading you to these 2 main roads. :)

You can look for bicycles at Carpenter Street, just behind Main Bazaar which is opposite the Waterfront.

Where are you from? Maybe the place where you are from cycling is safe. I would not encourage you to cycle in Kuching as the design of the city road is not cater for cycling. Ther is no bicycle lane and you have to share the same road as cars and big dump truck. The dirvers in Kuching is so rude that they won't give way to you. My advise is for safety sake, don't attempt to cycle in Kuching as the road as well as other road users won't be friendly and in actual fact danger to you.

Cycling around INTI COLLEGE is advisible as the bicycle in Kuching is cheap also. budget type around RM250-RM500. Depends on specifications. B&W is a good brand though. There's a shop at JALAN PANDUNGAN before PRUDENTIAL & THE SHOP SELLING VEHICLES; a bicycle shop. Check that shop out. You may find your perferences there! :)

SEKAMA AREA
GREEN ROAD AREA

these places do sale bicycle and motorbikes. In Kuching, u do not need a license but for a bike, you need one. To obtain a license, you need to go 14th mile off Kuching city to register your license. Before that, you need to attend a class, test and proceed to 14th mile. For your case, I see it quite hard for you to travel around... Just grab a bicycle would do.

Kuching drivers are not as rude as it seemed only partially. They are quite considerate for bikers / bicycle as long as you stick to the LEFT LANE ALWAYS.

Kuchingite rarely use bicycle because they use car / motorbike to school / work as it is a common scene around the city. Bicycles are only for students, sportsmen, & hawkers.

i would recommend those "iron horse" with basket in front. not so expensive and you'll be doing the environment a favour by going green. but for health reason, please wear a ninja mask like naruto when you cycle.
