For those who have pets, can you recommend any good vet in Kuching?
I've 2 dogs, not pedigree but I love & care about my dogs. It's getting costly nowadays to keep my pets healthy, had spent hundreds for a few vaccination shots for my puppy & after going to the vet for a few times my old dog still scratching probably due to allergies (not fleas).
A couple of good vets i know in the past no longer work as vet or retired, & the young vets seem to be quite inexperience & some even not that nice when they see you bringing in a mutt. The vet just ask you what's the problem & avoid getting near or checking my dog. Different attitude i see when he's attending another pedigree dog patient.

You can actually drop by the SPCA at 7th mile and seek for advice, I'm sure they have good contacts.

it's 'city veterinary centre' - lot 152, tabuan road. phone: 243992, 243993.

My and my friend's pets only patronise that clinic. So far, all the vets there are very helpful and they do their job well. once, my dog caught ear infection and the doctor actually put her nose into my dog's ear to smell it! Salute

City Veterinary Centre is the one on the hill overlooking the city.

My cats and my cousin's cats go to a corner-shop vet in 7th mile...forgot the name, will help dig up. Very experienced.

If you are not far from BDC area, try the Lee Veterinary Hospital, it is located at 1844, Taman Satria Jaya BDC, Lorong G1, a semi-d house facing Jalan Stutong, near to PolarWood. The phone number is 456115.
From the sound of it, your dogs have severe skin problem, they need medication either by injection or oral prescription. They also needs to be washed with a special shampoo. Bring them in and let the doctor have a look at them.
I got great result after bringing in my dogs to this veterinary clinics. They are more attentive than any other doctors I have approached.

agree with leona the new gen of vets has alot of "dogside" manners to learn still. i missed the oldies.

we still take our dogs to city vet but we do request who to see.

did you switch their diet recently? that may cause skin allergies as well. there are some holistic pet food brands out there you may try to help improve their skin condition. do try to avoid those with grains, fillers or by products.

hope they get better soon
