that was in 1998 guys..dun u guys think that kuching is much more better in term of connectivity and thing like this in the past ? in the modern arena now, there is no such website available anymore..it was not updated as before..

Sucky websites aside...I was driving past the Isthmus earlier and yeah...the structure of the Convention Centre is up.

They renamed it as well to the Borneo International Convention Centre.

It looks...smaller than I expected, then again the skeleton is up and not the other stuff. Progress is slower than I hope it would be.

Kuching Tower is still not poking the skyline yet though cranes are everywhere and they are still boarding up more areas and more signposts indicating projects are being erected.

Sorry no pics, was driving and had no time to snap...

it may look smaller from far..but as u can see frm the satellite map, it seems bigger and almost the same size with a football field..

i think the hotel is underway now..read in borneo post yesterday that STB has bring in almost 20 big organisations and events player in west msia for site inspection and what kuching will have to offer in 2 years time..they are all very impressed and plan to bring in more conventions here once the facilities are ready..tat is a very good job..

i think can..not to under estimate..but i'm sure it can survive..
not to cmpete with all the 'next big players' in kuching ..at least better than shophouses...
