Heh seems like Wisma Saberkas is trying to fight back with the new shopping malls.

12/1 to 6/2 (10am to 10pm) New Year Fair

Upper Ground Floor (Concourse Area)
23/1 to 6/2 (10am to 10pm) New Year Fair


Lower Ground Floor (Stage area)
19/1 (saturday) 7pm to 10pm - Sale of Chinese Caligraphy works
20/1 Sunday 10am to 10pm - In aid of charity


26/1 Saturday (2.30pm to 5pm) - Nanyang Wushu Festival Show
27/1 Sunday (9.30am to 11am) Sports Toto Angpau Distribution

27/1 SUnday (3pm to 5pm) New Year Show & Lion Dance
01/2 Friday ( 7.30pm to 9.30pm) Nanyang Wushu Festival Show
02/2 Saturday (2pm to 4pm) Chinese Comedy Concert + Cultural Performance (Face Change , spitting fire..etc)

03/2 Sunday (3pm to 5pm) Chinese Calligraphy contest by Ngiu Kee

Lion dance in the Spring.. bwahahahaa.... since they have such ample space...

Date: January 25 to February 6th

Venue: Tabuan Jaya Commercial Center Kuching

Kuching City south Council and Tabuan Jaya Chinese Chamber of Commerce jointly organized the event. Some 48 stalls selling among others, fruits, flowers, cookies, food and items of decorations are expected to take part in it.

oh ya talking abt wisma saberkas..yesterday b4 we left to visit de spring , i went to wisma wif my bf to buy a new USB drive..while we are browsing ard, we noticed tat some of de shops started to close down early, and it was only 4.15pm . de shop whr i bought my USB , was starting to pulling shut their door after i pay my bill. why ah? gt function is it ?

I think the CHinese New YEar bazaar at Padungan will start on the
29th January till.. xxx Feb.

There wasn't any news on it.. so couldn't get confirmation.

The Padungan chinese new year bazaar will start on 30.Jan.2008 to 5.Feb.2008. The stall which is from Tao to 24 hours kopitiam which is near to Big white cat statue.

Hmm seems like the bazaar is getting smaller each year. 30th january? Hmm i thought it was 29th. oh well.

Anyway, there will a be fireworks display on the 1st February at Padungan. lookout for it.

I believe there will be a Chinese New Year bazaar / happening in Kenyalang Park also which is held annually. Have not check the place out yet. Nothing was stated in the newspaper though.

CNY Festival 101 tonight

KUCHING: Premier 101, a big shoplot development along Jalan TunJugah will hold a Chinese New Year FEstival 1010 tonight where part of the sales revenue is donated to charity.
