Hotels / INN in Kuching (in town) : Hilton, Holiday Inn, Kuching Park, Harbour view Hotel, Longhouse.

Hotels outside Kuching (Destinations & beaches) : Damai Beach Resort, Santubong Resort.

That's what I can think of.

Holiday Inn Kuching

Hilton Kuching

Harbour View Hotel Kuching

Holiday Inn Damai Beach

Santubong Kuching Resort

For budget type, you can try Chonglin Plaza @ Green Road, 10 minues vehicle ride to city.

For as low as RM75 per night.
link

Call or email them for bookings.

*You may however need to RENT-A-CAR if you need to explore Kuching. Check back the forum for RENT-A-CAR topic...

:D

all the suggested place are nice BUT Chonglin Plaza isn't what i recommend to anybody coming from kch. if u're unlucky, they give u rooms without windows and can get very very stuffy... plus it isn't clean like any other hotels in kch. 3 star experience which is worth it would be Kingwood Inn, Kuching Park Hotel... perhaps Sommerset gateway is also a nice place... another "budget" hotel which is not only clean but cosy at reasonable price (suitable for family as well) is singahsana lodge... link at www.singgahsana.com

some say CHonglin plaza is haunted. lol dun even go there.

Singgahsana is for backpackers. dun bother going there if you're with your family.

Get a proper 3 star hotel like Harbour View or Holiday Inn instead.

I think Habour View is better coz due to its fair and cheaper price compared to Holiday Inn. That's my opinion though...
