Technically, there are no upgrades for these coffee machines, even if they do, they are minimal, such as newer features. Only on paper though, because in technical terms, they will work as it is, and they only have 2 jobs. To pull espresso shots at a given pressure, and to make the froth.

That is espresso machines do, and nothing else. Occasionally, they do need to be serviced, especially the pump and also the heating mechanism (those copper loop tubes) needs cleaning to make sure they don't block. Also check for any corrosion if any, inside the system, or waste residue from the inlet of water supply.

I know the general workings of a coffee machine, just didn't know about the long term maintenance ofit. Thanks anyway.

As me to play around with an espresso machine and I might kill it. I already killed the attached coffee grinder on my hybrid espresso maker + microwave oven. Banged it too hard and now it hisses extra loud when steam comes out.

Ever since then, my coffee fix will only be done by trained professionals.

I miss the Vietnamese coffee so much, that and my plate of broken rice with spring rolls.

Vietnamese coffee is good along Changkat Bukit Bintang, and Balinese coffee is also strong.

Turkish coffee=good grief, it's as strong as vodka.

Never really liked baklava, tastes like...cardboard, and I've eaten paper once before out of sheer boredom so I know how it tastes...

Tell that to the guy in Sultanahmet who gave me the baklava. That was the only thing that tarnished my Istanbul trip.
