RM250 for 3 days, right? I know they jacked the price to around RM70 for a day.

Well, that's expensive.

Demand outstrips supply.

We might think it's expensive, but RM250 is A$80 for a 3 day pass, which is relatively cheap.

People want to attend, and the organisers can jack the price up at any rate. We might not want it, but others would. Plus, RM700 for a seat in the corporate box is snapping up well, I hear.

RM250 is standard pricing for a one day concert by an international singer.

In April issue of Reader Digest, they have listed the Rainforest World Music Festival as one of the big attraction in Music Festival in Asia ( only 3 listed). Really an honour.

One of the rare things (if not the only) Sarawak Tourism seems to have gotten right.

Isn't it sad that to date we only have the RWMF to crow about when Sarawak has so much more to offer the outside world.

Not really Lord White Hair. He has pretty much publicised Sarawak far and wide. The Minister of Tourism is responsible for all this, and the current one, well, let's say that he managed to single handedly reduce what old Johari did to a sheer mess.

Rainforest World Music Festival was featured in Singapore Airlines magazines once, as well as Malaysia Airlines, Destinasian (luxury Asia-focused travel magazine) and Travel + Leisure once, if I recall correctly. It even came on BBC World in 2003.
