We didn't say he was perfect, but you do have to admit the old man does have really strong ideas, and isn't afraid to be bullish about it. People laughed when he didn't follow IMF advice during the 97/97 crisis. Now people look back on that day and go "hey, he wasn't wrong there, actually."

Taib different. It was predicted that his son will be his successor. No doubt!

The so-called curved bridge to S'pore was a total joke that had parties in both sides of the strait laughing. Idea from a senile old man, they say.

It's half true as Singapore government also need to gain benefits from the projects involving both countries. YTL did proposed highspeed railway from KL-SG but the proposal seemed to be rejected (or I think the open skies agreement affecting this) under the administration oh Pak Lah, or maybe SG government don't want any of his neighbouring country affecting it's current development and available infustracture or something. There are 2 bridge connecting to JB at the moment (1 @ Tuas and another @ Woodlands), why they need another one? By the way, it involves talk beween 2 countries regarding development and benefits if any of these huge structures are implemented within.

I thought once they build the curved bridge, they'll demolish the Johor Causeway?

And good question, so much hype about YTL and their 3 hour express train from KL Sentral to Singapore yet now...silence...
