Yes, but first and foremost, whatever it is they're planning, they better keep our currency strong and not cause a massive exodus of funds. The foreign exchange is already shaky as it is. Our volatility is already on par with foreign exchange in the UAE.

It was even carried by our CDN tv news report. But don't worry too much, as very few Canadians know M'sia.

It's good advertising & promotion though. The impression is generally that M'sians are really raunchy, especially the politicians, with one sex scandal following another in very short order and a little murder thrown in the mix too.

[start joke]
Looking for a sterile, Cosmopolitan magazine-free country? Try Singapore! Riots on your mind? Thailand's coups are a must-see! Need parliamentary gladiatorial combat? Go to Taiwan! Want political gossip and intrigue? Malaysia makes Imperial Rome blush!
[/end joke]

Yes, interesting advertising and promotion indeed. However, what country is immune from such labels, news reports and scandal?

i don't understand what this guy wants. he wants to rule the country to become PM, BUT he is dependent on the outsider to help him up. Previously Singapore, not Turkish embassy uninvited. what he's up to? how can we trust somebody likkdat to become PM? but then again... nobody can be trusted these days especially politicians

Remember John Profumo? The British minister of war who had a torrid sexual affair with Christine Keeler, a showgirl, and compromised British secrets that nearly toppled the gov't? Wonder if your DPM is in a similar situation, sort of a Mongolian connection.

So in addition to being a cry for external help, this little 'incident' involving the crime of 'sodomy' would assist in diverting attention away from the Mongolian Connection? Quite possibly. Besides, which is more newsworthy? Sodomy action again, another piece of juicy gossip roughly 10 years after the last incident; or a very curious murder? Sometimes malicious gossip sells more than manslaughter.

Not to mention promote the good name of malaysia as friendly environment for tourism & to do good business? i think indonesia (not kalimantan) already sur"f"pass us in this area.

There's no denying that M'sia is now abound with myriads of underground spin-doctors who'll latch onto anything & everything for a good day's fun.

Thanks to the internet that all that pent up anger, curiosity & ridicule can now be vented but what is needed beyond this is a talkshow like Larry King Live, to bisect, dissect & pass judgement on any and every issue at hand. But that'll be like asking for a pound of flesh!
