Has anyone stay in Somerset before? how is the quality of service and interior finishes?

Their website photo looks really old and 80's ID. Have they done any renovation? I just want to check out their 3 beds service apartment whether worth money spending to rent.

Any information is appreciated.

Last time I went there was 3 years ago. My friend from sibu got married in Kuching... so need a 'room' so that the groom could come and get her.. *** .. whatever.. anyway.. she rented a unit for the family to stay in Kuching for few days.. I could vividly recalled I think the place look like at least 3+ stars looking apartment.. not too sure if Somerset did anything after that.

I went there this Jan. My friend from Australia rented a 2 room apartment. It was good though a bit age ( but not too bad at all) and well maintained.

Location is good and facilities is sufficient with swimming pool and gym.

i stayed somerset bkk once with my other group of buddies... it was worth the price... i reckon it should be the same since they are all in the same range and it's international standard.

I think Kuching's Somerset serviced apartment should be adequate. Don't expect too much though. Stayed in Somerset's sister establishment of The Ascott KL which is really nice.

Keep in mind, international cities have serviced apartments and hotels of a higher international standing and prestige, whereas lower-tier cities would have a slightly lower standard, though high enough to keep to the brand requirements.

It's a service apartment. My first impression was bad. They screwed up our reservations and we had to choose a higher rate room because all the other rooms were fully booked. They didn't even apologise nor compensate us for it.

We experienced black out during our stay. They had to do some rewiring or something, but we weren't informed.

And then they didn't have enough towels at the pool. My daddy was pretty pissed during our last day of stay.

I guess there are also some good and bad of every establishment. So far my experience with them has been pleasant.
