Hilton Kuching: Toh Yuen (http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hotel ... n-Kuching-hotel/dining.do)
Holiday Inn Kuching: Meisan Szechuan Restaurant (http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hotel/KCHMY/dining)
Crowne Plaza: Coca Restaurant - Thai cuisine, and River Palace Restaurant - Cantonese cuisine (http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/cp/1/en/hotel/KCHRS/dining)

Merdeka Palace however has no dedicated Chinese or oriental restaurant.

Im going back to Kuching in this coming end of Dec under TM's trip. Might probably stay in Crowne Plaza as my colleagues stayed there too.

Probably I'll get to enjoy the comfortable ambience in the restaurant soon.

Toh Yuen is still the best bet, personally; Coca isn't as good as it used to be.

Depends what you order, in what portions; can be around 70 for about three dishes. Sit down dinner for four has cost me around RM150, with five dishes, including drinks.

As a comparison with lok thian which are more worth it and are they both about the same price? Coca restaurant at crowne hotel serves thai steamboat right? so 100 caN be enought for two perhaps? as i had seen the website at sedc. about 40 per person if it doesn't increase. As im not a seafood eater, i scare its not worth it.

Coca is more than Thai steamboat, they have normal dishes as well. 100 is more than enough.

If you were to compare Lok Thian and Toh Yuen, they're both on the same level, if you ask me. But I would prefer Toh Yuen as you can easily get parking and your own private room, whereas Lok Thian is eternally booked solid for weddings and whatnot.

Non hotel restaurant :

Joyous Shanghai - I just love this restaurant. Food is good though more pricey. On top of Lok Thian.

Banquet (3rd miles) - new and menu is different from the rest.

Li Garden ( Hock lee) - best peking duck. Menu - value for money.

Hornbill (Sarawak Club ) - members only : best butter prawns
