I cannot control my eating of junk food

Hello everyone,

I am a working executive, working long hours and addicted to fast food, usually eating while I'm in the office. I seem to eat whether I'm hungry or not and have got to a stage where I am unable to control my eating habit. Unfortunately, my weight is increasing and I'm being forced to buy clothes a size larger than normal. I can devote a little time to exercise, but is there a recommended safe way to lose weight? I've heard of all these diets, such as Atkins, that don't sound very healthy at all.

usually what i did was.. drink less soda but more onto hot beverages when meals served. Fast food like KFC, Pizza is not healthy after all, try to change the habit and practice self-awareness. Never dare to try those 'supplements' hehe you never know what's inside... :P

exercise is the best way. make it a habit.

n of course, don force urself to buy bigger clothes, force urself to throw away such bad eating habit.

n more H20, water, plain water

If you have the habit of nibbling on KFC in the office, might I suggest nibbling on nuts, or other healthy options? Cashew nuts are a good option.

South Beach Diet is a good one actually. It makes sense and its healthy.

But usually when U crave junk food, I believe its because ur body is addicted to salt. So it triggers your brain to think of junk food.

Like Mocha said, try snacking on lightly salted peanuts, almonds or cashews. But don't eat a whole bagful! Allow yourself only about 15 nuts for morning snack, and another 15 for afternoon snack.

Instead of nuts, you can also alternate between lightly salted popcorn or dried prunes.

And also cut out all drinks! Both hot and cold. Your teh-tarik and kopi is just as high in calories as coca-cola. So are the Yeo's can/packet drinks (even when they claim 'less sugar').

Just drink water or plain Chinese tea. Some studies also show that drinking copious amounts of green tea can help the weight-loss process by a little bit. And by copious amounts I mean like at least 4 cups (250ml per cup) a day, that's like 1 liter.

try eating more fruits like apple, pear, papaya.. that should make your stomach full when u have cravings for junk foods.

I would say replace those Fast food with all kinds of vegetables.
Bring some carrots, cucumber to your office, wash them, and start to eat them.
I see quite alot of people does that, eventhough it doesnt taste nice.
but ppl tend to lose weight.

Eat fruits instead, and perhaps pack your own lunch in the form of sandwiches and salads.

And find some time to exercise. joining martial arts, yoga or anything that allows you to make new friends, that keeps you motivated to exercise
