Lovebell, you're overcrowding your tank... :) I'm pretty sure of that one. Goldfish needs lots of space... if you do a search on the net about this hobby you'll find that goldfish is in fact the hardest to keep as they're very finicky and fussy. They need a lot of gallon of water per fish.

Luohan is never meant to be brought up together in a tank with more than one of their kind. NEVER. Luohan is a type of cichlid, and it's mixed breed. It is extremely aggressive (as you all know) and on certain occasions when babies are reared together (assuming a 50 gallon tank with a couple of them), they MIGHT be ok with each other.

Other smaller cichlids, however, can be kept in an aquarium together but you should be prepared for some "fights" over territory. To remedy this, some aquarists set up "caves" - overturned pots with holes in it to let the fishes set up their own territory.

I got a very cute hualohan back home...
bought it at 3rd mile... for RM3 each...

It didn't grow up to be as VALUABLE as others

Look at the body.. no spots eh.. ahahha..
the head also not bumpy...

But i am ok with all of it.... cuz it got a characteristic...
My fish behaves like a dog!

Whens its hungry.. it will moving aggresively back and forth in its tank.. especially when it sees someone walking passby.

When you go near the tank and place the fish food on top of it,.. it jumps jumps trying to eat whatever you drying to drop.
Then i will go.." Sit !!.. Sit !!! " (i got used to it with dog..and i reacted that way to my fish also )

There was one time we all went out travelling and was away for 2-3 nights. When we come home.. the fish again behaved like dog. Moving aggresively in its tanks.~

hehehhehe..

Ah... i see... so the tank is too small... guess so already...

Eh... anyone know that Luohan is a genetically modified fish? It's not safe for our environment. So don't simply throw it into the river if u don't want it anymore, just killed it! It can survive and it's very tough and it can bring damage to the ecosystem.

well... what to do... if u don't want it anymore then u kill it. If u want it then don't kill ;p ahhhaha...

This fish is actually combination of many types of fishes, they simply mix & match the genes. Those ppl that produce this fish actually did very bad thing to our eco-system. When new fish are borned, they'll keep the nice ones and those cacat or ugly ones, they'll throw it to the river. This causes fish in the river getting lesser coz eaten by Luohan and it can survive in river and also the sea. They are actually a "mutant" in the fish world. They are very aggresive and when they simply mate with other fish, si liau lar... more mutants are borned, this will be bad news for fishermen and also those that like to fish.

Those ppl that "invented" this fish aren't responsible.
