Word 2007 which was loaded on my laptop when purchased has 'disappeared''. When I click onto the file in the system it tells me to insert the CD..... Unfortunately I cannot local the installation disc(s) that came with the laptop. Short of purchasing a new copy of Word, is there any other way I can recover it ?

Okay.... may i know what 'disappear' you're referring to?

1) file corrupted?
2) file accidentally deleted?
3) you have no idea where you had placed your file?

and usually we have these COMPONENTS that's not installed together along with the application, hence, you need a disc in order to transfer essential files over into your PC.

Solutions

A)

If you are looking for the exact path for WORD2007,
copy and paste the following link into your address bar.

C:/Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office12/WINWORD.EXE

B)

If your Microsoft encountered software issue, i.e. corrupted program, kindly click the following link to download fresh new copy of microsoft office 2007. Trial initiated and available for 60 days before expiry.

LINK
(Click download now)
(You have to sign-in your MSN / create a new account if you don't have one)

P/S : A trial software key will be generated for you.
Warning : Only install if you have trouble opening the program.

Tks for v.helpful response. First, I should have said Word 2000 not 2007. I think the copy was accidentally deleted. I can still find the Word 2000 in my programs but when I click on it tells me to insert CD (which I cannot locate).
I have downloaded a cheaper alternative to Word (Atlantis) and still have the documents/letters etc. which I completed on Word accessible with Atlantis. It is a cheaper option than the Microsoft replacement but I just wondered if it was possible to get my Word 2000 back but it appears not.
