bytez, 谢谢您.

When I was little, my parents always spoke mandarin when they wanted to talk about things they didn't want their kids to know (We speak Teochew at home, and Bahasa Indonesia in school). So I guess I picked up conversational mandarin from there. And it was strengthen by my two years spent in Kuching, where most people I met and dealt with tends prefered to converse in Mandarin rather than English or Malay.

My parents tried putting me in chinese classes when I was little, but I'd rather played with the kids next door so my ability to read Hanzi is only about 20%. The rest of the help comes from this website:

You're most welcome!

I see... that's very fond of you when you're young :D Well, not too surprised with Kuching's culture as most locals are dialect based. For I myself speak Teochew / Hokkien back then and never put mandarin on my tongue unless it's necessary.

High 5 because "Tai Kei Si KAKI NANG" HAHAA! ^_^;
