Vandread: agreed. i dont think that customer is alway right. as what my former said to me. how if you are one of cabin crew of an airliner. one day, while you greet your passenger, out of the sudden, one pessenger slap you right in you face without any reason. when u asked that partiicular customer, why you slap you in your face. that customer replied, "im your customer! customer is always right! i can do what ever i want"!!! or what if you owned a restaurant, suddenly one custome fight inyour resatauran. when asked, your customer replied.."im your customer, i can fight where ever i want...customer is alway right"!

moral of the story, be nice to other and the other will do the same. respect first to gained respect. nowaday, we even teach our kid how to get rude and selfish! that what happen to me in my apartment. neighbour always over parked their cars, steal anyone else designated car park.

Actually when I was back in IT field, very very rare customer would asked me about waterblocks and etc. The reasons why staffs aren't more knowledgeable to hardware stuff etc , heatsinks, watercooling, blabla etc, you named it because they aren't exposed to those stuff. Besides, as I observed, it haven't really penetrate into Kuching market.
If I were the boss, I wouldn't order stuff that doesn't have any buyer wanna buy it insteads of looking at it and Waaaaaaaa.... Of course, to make both parties easier, find out what you really what, they give a B2B order for you. My working experience for nearly 2 years , only 1 customer asked me what's the stepping for the processor. Answer was E0. Thanks. No bias here. Just telling out the truth.

As i am also working in IT Field, those users that are not IT Savvy can really cause problems and kept on asking WHY and they persist of wanting the technology to be what they want to. But i dealt only within my organization and not with customers.
But one thing, as a customer Point of View, as we are not good or understands IT well, we do hope we can get some feedback on our problems as we do not even know whats the problem. Actually as retailer or dealer, we should also offer good customer service as its where u can get your services, we buy from you we expect services from you. If not the dealers or retailers are like ones that HIT AND RUN. SELL AND RUN. not good either. so both side have their own dillemas.

lol` make a come back to catscity but suddenly post on this topic` i abit furious tbh when that posted on my facebook. But well its depend always, true... they buy something from us` but everything have a boundaries. If u overcrosses the line....well, i think you guy know what i want to say :D
i have encounter alot of customer type (Nice / unmmaner / rude and etc). i even been scolded by customer [example and sorry for my rudeness] - You "Cibai" n etc... <-- yep` i been scolded by customer but what can i do? slap him? hit him? <-- hit ppl you're wrong first, so i just gulp down whatever he say~ back experience~ lol` i think we can share our story here :)

It is easy... Just tell the customer... we respect your consumer's right. But our members of staff have the right to work without harassment, fear and intimidation. We will actively prosecute customers who do not respect this right. CCTV recording is installed in the store to protect our business and your safety and the evidence may be held up against you in case of dispute.

I actually came across even more strange incident at lowyat. I intended to buy a motherboard. But obviously, I won't like carrying a thousand ringgit in my pocket to go shopping for my PC parts. I found the motherboard that I like and was ready to pay by card instead. The shopkeeper insisted that I present my IC so that he can make a photocopy of my IC. I asked him why? He told me, he had many incident whereby customers paid by card but dispute the transaction when the credit card statement arrived. He lost many thousand ringgit of goods because credit card company refuse to pay what is owed to him.
I told him, yes.. your reasoning is a perfectly valid one. But my IC contain too much of my personal information. What prevent you from making a phone call to the credit card company and masquerade as me? There is too much you could do when you have my credit card and my personal details. How can I trust you that you are not going to abuse the information you have about me? He then answered me back, if you can't trust me, you can't pay by credit card. Simple as that. Now, do you still want the motherboard? He grabbed the motherboard away from me without me even answer whether I want or I don't want. I walked away. And he still has the gut to say behind my back, "no common sense"... I felt really angry. I didn't argue back with him. I just walked away, thinking to myself. I still have the cash in my account, while the poor store keeper still await the next customer to buy the motherboard from him. Who is at the lost? Up till today, I still find it ridiculous for store keeper who said they accept card payment and yet still take down more information than they needed. I think it is a violation of privacy. Dunno what others feel about that.

poor customer services from pc image... wat a topic...
i'm in IT field also, but a small new bird. for me to get along in this field, is to ask alot, hear alot n smile alot... if i stil can... i knw pc image, facing almost same problems as above too. but when i face problem, i cant get to any1 to get it solve. facing difficulty like calls to office but no 1 ans. stil not sure til nowadays, wats their working hour? morning call no ans, noon call no ans, evening call no ans, but sometime u call around 7pm, got ppl ans pulak. wondering if the pussy in the office stil working or not? then i make my move to the retail, with a little bit anger, went to get my stuff solved. i able to see their head technician, an old guys. wow... i tell u... u'll wish u never met such a person. dumb, noob, idiot, rude... after asking from frens, hahaha.. "si ah ne eh lo... lu bey cai meh?... tauke's ex gf ba... they always go out liak cua eh... mornin liak, noon liak, then evening come back to claim OT lo... ex ba... always tiao ppl nia but don work, always know how to act front of taukenios... but she's gud in 1 thing lo... she can get us kfc vouchers, of coz we pay cheaper amount la...win2 ba, she earn we earn... ex ba..."
