MIRI: Prominent national social activist Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye views Sarawak as the brightest “shining-star” of religious and racial unity in its most genuine and sincere form, and he suggests that the state be turned into a training ground for nation-building for the rest of Malaysia.
“This state is the beacon for anyone who wants to learn what it means to be truly free in terms of practising total and unconditional religious and racial acceptance,” said the long-serving social worker yesterday. Speaking when launching the 1Malaysia, 1Harapan organ donation campaign for Sarawak here yesterday, Lee said he has always marvelled at how Sarawak managed to attain true harmony and unity among its different ethnic groups and people from so many different races, religions and beliefs. “I love to come to Sarawak and Sabah not just because I love the scenery in these two states, but more so because I feel so at home here. “I have visited Sarawak many times and every time I come, I have always felt so impressed by the truly multi-racial and multi-religious mix of people everywhere I go. “There is this real sincere sense of unconditional harmony and unity in Sarawak in terms of religion and race. “Anybody who wants to learn what it means to be really united and harmonious and to accept each other totally, must come to Sarawak and learn from the people here. “I have always told my friends in the rest of the country that anybody who wants to learn the art of nation-building must come to Sarawak,” he told a cheering audience who had gathered for the organ-donation campaign at the Institute Kemahiran Belia Negara Miri. Lee said he had visited numerous places in the state over the years during the course of his social projects with government departments, related agencies and non-governmental organisations and private entities. “I want to come back to Sarawak as often as possible. “Every time I come, I have to perform official duties. I must find the time to come and visit as many places in this state as possible in a more relaxed and leisurely manner,” he said. Lee added that he would love to see the other parts of the state he had never visited before, especially the smaller towns and the interior. http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp? ... awak/10033137&sec=sarawak ------------------------------------------------------------- Hahahaha!!!! The 'land' now is even worst than ancient Egypt civilization ...
During Egypt civilization, a) there is only one pharoah who control b) worker only needs to dig soil and carry stone c) no trafffic jam d) cleaner environment during the old days e) the culture of sweet talk and sarcasm non exist f) everyone has equal fair of chance , have to work as labourer except the royals g) the scientist that time are recognized and at least introduced theorem Pythogaras which is needed to build the pyramid .. in which contribute to the current architecture in the long term Now, in the 'land', a) we also have one big pharoah, plus many many companies and gang who owns most of the wealth and bring $$ outside which leads to no money flow back into the society b) workers now doing multi-tasking ... solving problems for so-callled selfish private companies ... meaning the bossess for these companies are like the pharoahS during the old days ... just sit in the office , create useless meeting and build network among other bossess on how to torture the 'labourer' with more profit and less worker welfare .... c) traffic jam d) hotter environment .. flood ... dust .. pollution .. theft e) the culture of sweet talk and sarcasm - the art of living f) group C is 'indirectly' working for Group B which are mostly in G sector ... Group C who is much clever is barely surviving (in general) ... and Group B is growing in population without any family planning thinking that government always support them forever ... g) scientist sit in the universities (in general).. getting free money ... attending seminar with free lunch and dinner sponsored 'land' = far far away land

Interesting feedback. I believe their are still genuine guys out there who try very hard to build up successful business that treat their employees fairly.
Believe me, the pharaoh and his gang will have a tragic ending.

You don't have to wait too long. His time is nearly over.
For the first time in 30 years Abdul Taib Mahmud has cancelled the traditional press conference, normally held at the Wisma Bapa Malaysia after the weekly Cabinet meeting. Even more astonishing, the journalists were barred from the building, as if they were unwanted intruders. http://www.sarawakreport.org/2011/12/ ... a30fb0-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN

it is TOO late , my fellow readers ... Reasons
a) all the bright young people has migrated to overseas .. they take their brains and genes away to other countries - Chinese educated go to China, Taiwan, Singapore - English educated - Australia, Canada, US , New Zealand b) the ones that are left here are - those managed to go into government, holding high post - with good business network -hopeless and nowhere to go -parents here, but son overseas - children inherited property from great / grandfather In a small country like Malaysia, the only factor that can sustain the economy is SERVICE, TECHNOLOGY and KNOWLEDGE .. that is what Singapore is doing ... Agriculture should helps too .... eg oil palm Cannot longer compete with China, India, Mexico because of population differences. Imagine you as an foreign investor. Which country would you invest your money in ?? Our English is terrible .. UPSR Sarawak English recorded a drop this year ... What more to say to acquire Science Knowledge in English !! if no foreign direct investment , no inflow of money ... what can we hope for ?? resources such as log and oil will be depleting soon ... look at other small countries that can penetrate international market a) Finland - Nokia b) Germany - car , heavy machinery c) Singapore - service, investment hub d) New Zealand - diary product , tourism competitiveness is not there ...Chinese send kids to tuition knowing knowledge is important .. Others mostly work just to obey/follow orders and wait for government support ... if there is no inflow of money from outside, the total money available in the local domestic market will not be spinning .. it only spins because of the taxes, electricity bills, assessment etc that we paid .... so, we are actually 'grabbing and chasing' with EACH other to get that local pie of the local market .. means we are competing WITHIN ourselves to get the share of the market .... long term ,we might 'kill' each other to get it ... if you dont believe, look at how the big pie is grabbed ... if you are under the food chain, then bye bye loh ... some companies grabbed irresponsibly because of network and did not finished the job well ....and yet this has not included corruption and outflow of money ... so really want to improve, a) thirst for education , knowledge b) competitiveness c) attracting inflow of money d) must have culture to improve and not spoonfed ..... can you imagine that the urban people in Kuching can even say this ? study hard for what ? get degree for what ?? waste time and money ... come out, also no job to do ... sad but it is true .. face the facts !!
