On Sunday, Internal Security and Public Order director Datuk Seri Salleh Mat Som told reporters that the police have proposed a year-by-year renewal to check blatant disregard for the law by traffic offenders.

Read that~!
Lols Hopefully that won't be a reality. Stupid police suggesting brainless ideas.

The current maximum renewal of license is 10 years. Its RM30 for each year.

ah here is further details of the proposal

He said they viewed the maximum renewal period as too long as motorists could commit many traffic offences during that time and the authorities would have to wait just as long for the errant ones to pay their dues.

JPJ director-general Datuk Emran Kadir said a shorter renewal period would also help the Kejara demerit point system work more effectively.

The department updates the demerit points after each summons is settled. It blacklists offenders with outstanding summonses and does not allow them to renew their driving licences until the summonses are settled.

I renewed mine for 10 whole years....
now -1 year and 9 more years to due.

Lols. very troublesome lar if really have to renew annually.
The stupid JPJ office relocated until so far. 10 miles.
Drive all the way to 10 mile then have to look for carparks.

Then after go inside have to wait in the lonngg queue.
There are like 30 counters there? but usually 3-4 will be open to layan the people.

Some very unfair thingy is that the Driving instructors will bring a pile of application to the counter and it will be hell of wait for the people behind. Not one driving instructors but several of them. It always happen.

Lols again, i hope goverment won't even bother to consider about this proposal.
