My bf is buying a Satria soon... I want to know if the car has any problems now? Last time I heard the back leaks water... so it gets rusty there. Are the new ones better now?

i got tht from a local car forum, i think the car is a worth buying proton, it's so impressive with carbon fibre carbon gear knob, carbon fibre valve cover..i like the semi bucket seats. they also upgraded the performance...like strut top mount strengthening.....cross-drilled, ventilated brake rotors..
and also, dont forget abt the stainless-steel exhaust manifold.

the price is nearly 80K, if i hav tht amount of money, i would rather invest on some other japanese sports car, like MR2, coz no matter wat, i still think proton has their own limitations loh..

Yeah, saw the new replacement model already... and the exhaust is right in the middle!! *LOL* Sort of like us humans.

Here are my comments :-

Locally produced cars namely Proton and Perodua are of the cheap and lousy quality. Although prices mayb slighlty lower than other branded / import cars, the quality and material used cannot compensate.

I have a Kenari. Baru beli not long, the tyre bearing got oil leaking. Frens say suppose to not have such thing. My father's fren bought from Gamma. He got it fixed and asked me to do so. Mine was from Perodua 2.5 mile. Send for inspection. They say the bearing need to change. Ask me to come back 2 weeks after. Made appt for that. After come back, they say no stock for the bearing replacement la, this la, that la. Stupid staff knows no sh*t.

So pissed off, wrote to Perodua HQ and complaint. They apologize and revert me to the local Service Manager at the 2.5 Mile Perodua. Called him and made appt. Personally attended to me. Check and check and check. And say, just go for alignment which they cannot do. Imagine ... buy car from Perodua, hen got problem ... even though their fault, i have to fork out money to get a dumb alignment outside, which after i did have no effect at all. . meaning still got leakage...

spice g1, your experience sounds terrible! I used to own a waja also... ngaiti... the problems I had with that car I cannot count with two hands. And it was only one or two years old! But no pien... import cars are way too expensive and for someone young to afford good cars are almost impossible. You need to get a RM2500 salary in order to afford a nice car and live comfortably.
