Hey, during my frequent KL-Kuching-KL trips, I didn't even touch the sandwich. Just one bite and I was done. I'm not complaining, really. Airplane food isn't that great.

Except on Business. It is half decent.

At least MAS serves a nice snack box. Qantas on domestic gives you just three items: a roll, water and a small piece of chocolate.

I only encountered the snack box once in the past four months, and I have been doing Kuching-KL too many times for my own good, and out of 10 trips, I was given the snack box once and hot meals the other 9 times.

Then again, I always take the 1105 and 1600 flights.

Qantas may be the oldest and one of the most profitable airlines in the world, but the meal sucks. I heard the complain from my friend.

The ad was in The Star on Monday. They're making Bali their "hub", which will hv connections with KL, KK, Kuching, Jakarta.
It also signals, in my opinion, the easing of restrictions on new international budgets flights by the Indonesian govt. They had the restriction on for 1 or 2 years I think.
I believe the Jakarta-Kuching is to cater for business travellers and for those visiting relatives.
I won't be surprised if they ply Kucing-Pontianak next.
