A380 just started service today/yesterday (Thurs, 25 Oct 07) courtesy of Singapore Airlines.

While the possibility of Kuching International getting scheduled flights operated with the A380 is as high as Kuching getting a visit from Jessica Alba, it's always good to know Kuching can handle the aircraft.

I know this post is like four years old but I stumbled upon it and I couldn't resist commenting.

Jessica Alba did come to Kuching years ago when she wasn't famous yet to film a movie, The Sleeping Dictionary. Haha.

chiakwong,

Things I notice about Kuching:

* Nice city. Not as congested as KL, but still got traffic jam, like Gambiar Street.
* Sarawak River is dirty and smelly. Always muddy
* Not expensive place to live like KL or Penang
* Bigger city as compared to Miri, Sibu, KK or Muar
* One thing I dont like is no fair election. Taib is a dictator. I know you all didnt vote for him to be in oppit this long. This is treason and making all his family rich.

But i feel Kuching has a lot of potential to develop. If only the government was that serious in making Kuching an area of attraction.
All the fuss foreigner talk about is Damai beach la, rainforest la...
Done tat, been thr, don feel no more... Anyways, the recent fencing up of roadside walkways arent any help ..
