THere has been news that Dominiq Ng porposed to MBKS to redevelop KMC Flats into commercial cum residential flats like in S'pore. That would be a great things. I think they should explode the KMC flats as they are rotting and rebuild a new one like in Sipore.

..hey,Dom should consult & get the green light from me first - that was once my playground... . well......redevelopment sounds good, but many things got to be taken into great consideration like, the allocation of all the families effected.they've stayed there for so many years, many were actually"born" there and from ah kong,ah ma down to their grandchildrens.most of the seniors dont wanna move out eventhough their children already got nice house simpily because,KMC flats are located strategically.if the authorities comes out with a fair solution,- the pricing,i think is alright with me..

I think the government need to do a wise job. Of course there are some people like u might not agree but development should go ahead. Imagine, all these KMC flat people parking their cars along the Ban Hock Road, it makes the road narrow cause traffic problems. Redevelopment will bring life to that place coz those flats are not productive at all at the moment. Bear in mind, those flats are in golden triangle areas and should be turned to something more productive as that area actually should be a commercial area!! So, turn it to commercial cum residential is already a win win situation and that doesn;t means to chase the current inhibitants away!!

..well,Siamese actually im not saying the g'vnt are chasing the Kmc pple away.they know they cant stay there forever & furthermore, theres minor cracks with some of these flats.i will have a peace of mind if the authorities concerned ,will carry out the reallocatons of the families properlly & selling the new flats at a reasonable price back to the former dwellers.this is nothing new, there was this proposal by the authority...almost 7 - 8 years ago & someday, all the flats have to go, for the sake of development and i just hope the g'vnt do it with utmost fairness.

I strongly agree with you. The govt shd really take a wise action, to make sure a proper development but at the same time will not jeorpadise the residents or locals.
