I have a problem with my laptop. My laptop is a Twinhead AMD Turion and the warranty has expires. When i turn on the power button the screen just go blank but only the power indicator is on (not blinking). It's seems that it won't access the bios and the hard disk won't run either. A friend of mine says it might be due to the power connection to the motherboard and the motherboard might need to be replaced. It's not cheap to replace also. Anybody has experience this? Pls help.Thanks.

yes possibly motherboard intermittent / RAM damaged. Don't think you can replace the board with a cheap board for compatibility issues, why not go for a replacement or buy a new set of lappie instead? :D

Yes, I was thinking of the same thing ie. buying a new one. Anyway, i just sent to the shop at compumart Saberkas, just let them have a look. If surely got problem with motherboard, well what to do..
