For once being the cleanest city in the World.
Makes you think if the Sarawakians really got the habit of cleaniness or its the hard work of the authorities cleaning up rubbish. Well read this: http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/2011 ... /swak-is-full-of-rubbish/

Hmm, I find it doesn't make sense. 1/5 of Malaysian rubbish are contributed by Sarawakians? What is the population of Sarawak? With the population of Sarawak and total tonnes of rubbish being made per month, it could generate the number of weight of rubbish per Sarawakian that could make.

Semenajung's waste, Singapore's waste, Japan's waste all dumped to Sarawak's forest because they assume no one is telling?

Looking at the habits of the locals.
Very often i see people tossing stuff out from their car while on road. im very convince of the status of our awareness of rubbish dumping.

imagine you have 2 sons ... A and B ...
A is intelligent, clever and cunning ,and has many ideas ... A went to tuition when she was young , get top10 in the class, use her mind to solve problems ... B on the other hand is more stupid than A , waiting to be spoonfed , no brain and just can say yes only .... B is easily contented ... Because of some 'reasons', you favour B than A ..is it fair ?? in this modern days ?? and now B starts to learning new tricks from A ... soon, B will be more clever and cunning than A ... anyone pity A ?? now, A needs to work for B while B just sit there to enjoy profit margin ... dirty lo .....

there is one major flaw in this article -- it does not state the size of landfills, but the quantity. Sarawak is large, so having more landfills makes sense because we wouldn't want to transport trash for long distances to reach a landfills.
I am not advocating unsustainable rubbish dumping practices, just merely pointing out the unspoken side of the story.
